The opening

You are in the lobby. A single bulb above the reception desk clicks on, then off, then on. The client who hired you insists she saw her daughter in room 414. The daughter has been dead for six years. The hotel has been locked since 1984. Your equipment bag has the recorder, the thermal, the salt. You took the stairs because the elevator still works, and that scared you more than if it had not. Room 414 is on the fourth floor. What do you do?
